The lightweight option for operators counting every kilogram. A Hardox barrel trims tare weight to make room for payload. It’s the standard barrel on our Weight $aver and an option on models like the Low Rider.

The Pressed Blade System

A world first, pressed into every barrel.

Cesco’s competitive advantage is a pressed blade system of eight specific segments, delivering precise pitch and spiral through the barrel. The blade design (and the presses that form it) were perfected during the Snowy Mountains Scheme.

  • Eight specific blade segments: precise pitch and spiral
  • Mix uniformity guaranteed up to 50mm slump
  • Approved by NATA laboratories, manufactured to Australian Standard AS 1379
  • Press-formed blades eliminate re-flighting cost and inconvenience
  • Blade mesh gives extra foundation and stops blades splitting

Construction

The details you can’t see from the road.

A barrel earns its keep at the seams, the band and the welds. This is where a Cesco barrel is different, and why it stays in service.

  • Joggle-joint seams, fillet welded

    Barrel sections are joined with joggle-joint seams finished with fillet welding: construction considerably stronger than the butt welds commonly used elsewhere.

  • Wear-resistant centre band

    A wear-resistant centre band protects the shell where the work (and the wear) concentrates.

  • High-quality track ring welds

    The welds around the track ring guard against barrel split, so the barrel stays true on its rollers for the long haul.

  • Reinforced dished end

    The dished end carries an internal chamber for double reinforcing at the closed end of the barrel.
