That's the whole method in one sentence. Your application, chassis and options go into the drawing office first. Barrel geometry, blade pitch, frame, water system and controls are all resolved on screen, reviewed with you, and only then released to the factory floor.

The Factory Floor
Engineered in-house. Proven since the Snowy.
Every Cesco barrel and mixer is designed by our own engineering team. Our unique blade design, and our presses that form it, were developed during the Snowy Mountains Scheme, one of the toughest concrete jobs this country has ever seen. We’ve refined both on every barrel since.
Today that heritage is backed by modern engineering. Each design goes through finite element analysis to check how loads and stresses move through the barrel and blades before any steel is cut. Every barrel is then built to our exact specifications, with blades press-formed in eight precise segments, each one matching the last.
That consistency is what lets us guarantee mix uniformity, and it’s why a Cesco barrel never needs re-flighting.

Engineered to your chassis, not just bolted on.
Every mount is calculated for the truck it goes on. Before a mixer leaves the factory, we’ve worked through:
- Weight distribution and axle loads, so you stay legal and balanced when fully loaded
- Subframe and mounting design, matched to the chassis rails and wheelbase
- Drive and hydraulics, specified to suit the truck’s PTO and engine
- Water system and controls, laid out for the cab and the operator
